Do you know where i can find a survey or test to give to my class about tolerance of homosexuals?

I am doing a presentation on gay/lesbian issues in public schools. I want to hand out a survey to see how tolerant my classmates are of homosexual students going to school with them, etc. If anyone knows where i can find one to print off that would be fantastic!! Thank you!

Do you know where i can find a survey or test to give to my class about tolerance of homosexuals?
You might check with the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists, or with the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. I don't know if there is a test specifically for measuring homosexual tolerance levels, but I know that there is a general "sexual attitudes" test.

What would be a good part-time job for a full time college student that doesn't involve food or telemarketing?

I've worked as a server/host at Bob Evans and Bennigans. I couldn't stand telemarketing. Does anyone have any ideas of places where I can work? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just don't say sell stuff on ebay or half.com because I already do that and don't post things about making money online by doing surveys or pyramids by anything like that. Thank you.

What would be a good part-time job for a full time college student that doesn't involve food or telemarketing?
Try a retail job in an area that interests you. If you're a reader, try a book store. If you're a computer geek, try a computer store. Outdoorsy type? Sporting goods store.
Reply:Retail worked okay for me, companies like Home Depot and Publix offer tuition reimbursment. An internship may be another option, some are paid and you get great experience for your resume.
Reply:Talk to your local college employment offices. Usually on campuses there are tons of opportunities for student workers. As a part of your financial aid package there is sometimes a option for work study, where the federal govt. will pay some of your wages. These college based employers wont pay amazing but they will work with your class schedule. I spent 3 years as a student worker at the library and loved the flexibility and the pay was good.
Reply:get a job doing something you like. good jobs dont fall on your lap... its out there.
Reply:Do you like working with children?

Child care centers or YMCA's are a great place. The reason is because the hours are typically 6 AM - 6 PM, and usually no weekends if you work at a "daycare".

I did it all through college it was a great resume booster as well as I work my way up the chain and began supervising staff, organizing schedules, etc.

Where can i go to get paid for doing survey's online?

i joined so many different survey sites and all of them seem to want you to complete offers or pay for at least something in order for them to give you any points (which you can later turn into cash or redeem it for prizes). I was just wondering if anyone knows of any site that is out there that all you do is take survey's and get paid to do it!?!? I am an online student and i have a family and i'm just looking for some extra cash.

Where can i go to get paid for doing survey's online?
Here is a review of online paid survey, you can have a look

Reply:Hi, the ones want you to complete offers or pay are NOT paid surveys. Those are paid offer sites. Real legitimate paid surveys are always FREE to do, legit market research and paid survey companies pay YOU for YOUR opinion.

For leigit paid survey sites, check out http://www.MySurvey123.com - they have FREE lists of legit paid survey sites, as well as paid survey guide/advice and reviews/ratings. Good luck!
Reply:I remember those days when i almost get mad to find one free survey site that really pay us without charging a fee. The fact is that there are so many survey sites in internet who actually charges a registration fee. I tell you what, run as far as you can, if they ask you money to join their survey site. Any legimate survey site, will not ask you money to join them%26lt;!--They actually have to pay us if we join them. Some people do not understand this, and they pay and later they suffer and get frustrated. So is there really any Survey site that pays us? The Answer is, Yes. I am personally getting paid by a Survey site and please find the below website and register yourself for free,

http://surveyadventure.awardspace.com/

The best part is that, after you register and confirm the email sent, you will have a chance to win a car. The fun part is that they pay you money for playing games. And you get sometimes $50 for completing offers. Check out the offers area when you log in, you earn more. I personally get paid and you could trust them--%26gt;since they dont ask you any money, you could give a try, there is nothing to lose. I am sure you will be happy at the end of the week seeing money in your account. Have a great day ahead...!

Never join any sites that require a sign up fee as they are almost always scams.

I have been taking paid surveys for nearly a year now, it takes me around 10 minutes every second day, and I make about $80 - $100 a month which isn't bad for the amount of time it takes me.

My favourite sites are: Nielson Net Ratings, NPD, Ipsos and Cashcrate.

Reply:Hi,

I know that there are a lot of scams out there offering easy money. I have tried many and there are a couple of survey sites I would recommend.

In the source box I listed my favourite sites.. You don’t have to; but if you like those sites please note my name as your referral.

These sites are honestly free to join and you can make money simply by completing daily surveys and if you have a little extra time by completing the 100% free offers---which involve clicking no for a couple of minutes.

(Most importantly I have always been paid right away)

The first 4 sites will pay by check or paypal. The 5th site is a bit of a pain, but it’s easy money. The last site will pay in points that can be easily converted into dollars. (plus the Spiderbyte site is kinda fun and user friendly) Also another site worth checking out is Cashcrate. You won’t make thousands of dollars per month because that is honestly not possible---the sites that promise you this are straight up lying. But with these sites it is easy to make an extra few hundred bucks a month.

When creating your profile---keep your interests very broad and open so you can be selected for more surveys. And also I recommend setting up a new e-mail address. Most importantly Never, ever give out your credit card information or ssn information. Likely you understand this; it’s just that sometimes company’s can be very tricky and their offers really temping. As a personal note I actually work in customer care for a credit card company and I have unfortunately seen way too many times where company’s offering free trials will continue to bill people for months. Which is a headache for all involved. (Accept lol for the sneaky company)

Hope this helps! :)
Reply:i've never done an online survey before and I doubt companies would just hand out money without getting something in return but the site below seems to be what you are looking for.

also since you are a student you might want to try going to your school and asking them if they have any paid surveys you can participate in. I hope this helps. :)

Here's a puzzle: How many students were surveyed?

A group of middle school students completed the survey shown below:

1.Do you like Cappuccino Fudge Swirl Ice Cream? Yes No

2.Do you like Cookies and Cream Ice Cream? Yes No

When the results were tallied, it turned out that 80 answered "yes" to the first question, 70 answered "yes" to the second question, 60 responded "yes" to both questions, and 10 said "no" to both flavors. How many students were surveyed?

A small survey for elementary school teachers?

As an elementary school teacher would you want to use digital content in your classrooms?

We are in the process of building a small company that makes digital content for elementary school classrooms. This content is made for teachers to enhance student learning and to make it more interactive and interesting. The content is only for Science and for 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades.

A small survey for elementary school teachers?
Absolutely!!! I think that this would be an awesome way for students to get back into Science. The No Child Left Behind Act has created an enormous gap in the teaching process which has forced many educators to abandon Science and Social Studies. Your digital content would cause teachers and students to become excited about Science again. I hope that I can see your product soon!
Reply:considering that this is already in place in many school districts i would say that most teachers welcome anything that enhances their curriculum...i would focus on areas that are not already doing this...social studies for example...
Reply:sure...go for it
Reply:i think it's a good idea. please make sure whatever you design, that there is an internet-based application/practice/enrichment activity for students to be able to do at home on their own. if schools are going to purchase some sort of license, then you will want the ability for students to have a user name and password so they can access the information from any computer with internet access.
Reply:Of course! But make sure you have done your research and aren't duplicating something that we already have and can use. Like Edheads or United Streaming, two web sites I use frequently for science.

They are just good for marketing, so companies will have bigger mailing lists and your mailbox (house) will be flooded with more publicity, and I mean MORE.

Some of them will ask you for where to deposit your earnings, but the real scam is that they got your checking acct #.

They are just another way of self-humiliation.

RESEARCH STUDENTS: Ideas on how to send out survey questionnaire?

Hi,

I'm working on my dissertation and want to know the most effective way of sending my questionnaire out (I'm planning to use SPSS for analysis).

Should I:

1. type the quest. in MS Word and email it?

2. use a site like surveymonkey and email a link to ppl?

Plz list your suggestions / experience IN DETAIL....I'm looking for the most hassle-free way to do this.

Thanks a ton.

RESEARCH STUDENTS: Ideas on how to send out survey questionnaire?
emailing surveys isnt a very good idea. I would print the surveys in a paper that has your university logo to give it more credibility. Put the most interesting questions upfront, or else people will get bored. Another good way would be to do it by phone.

Can you plese give me a good survey topic?

I have a research paper to do and our teacher told us that our research must be from a survey, and that survey must be within the campus only. I still don't have a good topic...Here are some topics of my classmates: Does sectioning affect one's academic performance? Should sex education be taught in school? and things like that. I need a topic that that is very beneficial and accessible (since the survey is to be asked to college students). This topic must have a good benefit to the students ( i mean the topic must be sensible!)..help me please, i really need it as soon as possible. thanks! god bless!

Is there a survey you can take to determin what career is right for you?

My son is a sophomore in college already, is wanting to change his major, but not real sure where to turn. It's a long story, but he wanted nursing originally, couldn't get in with that major, declaired surgical tech instead, was on deans list for whole year, decided to declair nursing second year of college and was accepted, however 70% of his class is failing (within nursing terms C or lower) and is so discouraged he wants to get out of it. He's a great student and always applies himself, studies well and as I mentioned earlier he was on the dean's list last year. Is there something he can fill out that might give him a better idea of what he's suitable for or would enjoy doing? In case you're wondering he's spoken with his nursing advisor.....got nowhere. It's a shame because he'd have made a great nurse, and loved his clinicals at the hospital. Got any ideas?

Is there a survey you can take to determin what career is right for you?
15 questions to the best of your ability. Your answers will be used to identify the career selection(s) that is most suited to your habits, thoughts and actions. SEE LINK BELOW

(( you can also try: http://www.myplan.com/assess/ )) but there is a cost involved.
Reply:Why don't you approach a surveying company for this? Pinecone research, Surveysavvy, Greenfieldonline are some of the larger survey companies, who pay regularly . A list of companies you can join for free , with details of amounts you will receive as payment, is available at http://tinyurl.com/mx9ga
Reply:I think you should ask your son to stay put. If he is really good he’ll come out with fyling colors. Just to give and idea of how many jobs there are waiting for your son, have a look at http://www.cvtips.com/nurse_career_emplo... the oppurtunites are immense. If your son likes what he is doin , let it be , everything else will take its own course

All the best
Reply:There should be careers advisors at his college. Alternatively he could seek advice from his personal tutor and if he/she can't help, they should refer him for professional careers counselling. As he is at college this ought to be free of charge (at least in the UK it would, but obviously you are in the US). However, I am pretty sure even if you have to pay for it, it is comparatively reasonable and should be well worth it if it helps your son find the right career path for him.
Reply:He needs to go and talk to his adviser. They have places that they can send him ---cost about $300, and they will do an in depth analysis on his likes and dislikes, and what he is best suited for.

The military has something too. That might be an option. They can let him finish his education and even pay for it...all he has to do is sign up for 6 years.
Reply:The Strengthsfinder asks questions, then determines your strengths and makes suggestions for careers. I don't know if you can do it for free or not, but you could check around on the Internet. You usually need the code from the book, "Now, Discover Your Strengths."
Reply:At my college, there is an office called career centers. They offer free or little charge "career/interest surveys". Also, if this is not an option, have him speak to an adviser. They are full of good info and helpful insight. Also, try www.tickle.com. This website if FULL of FREE tests to help you just figure out what you like and who you are. It's frustrating as a student to not know if what you are doing is the right major. I can only imagine being a parent trying to fund a college education. Good luck. Email me if you need anything else. Oh yeah, don't forget Physical therapists and occupational therapists and respiratory therapists. All great jobs, too.

Would you say that my survey sample is representative?

-Our high school has a maximum of 800 students in total

-I surveyed 200 people in my high school

-This came up to: 40 random students from each grade (grade: 7, 8, 9, 10 11) (40 x 5=200)

-I randomly asked students in our school cafeteria to do my surveys

THIS WAS MY SURVEY:

Which of the following COLD beverages do you drink the most?

a) Water

b) Juice

c) Soda

d) Milk

e) Energy Drink

f) Other

Which of the following HOT beverages do you drink the most?

a) Coffee

b) Tea

c) Hot Chocolate

d) Other

IS MY SAMPLE REPRESENTATIVE? Can you justify your answer for me, please?

Would you say that my survey sample is representative?
I work with a company who make online surveys... and for any kind of study they consider 300 a good sample number... So I think a few more samples and you are good to go.
Reply:200 out of 800 is only one quarter of the school body.

More students needed. 300 or 350 would be more representative.

School Survey?

Question: In a survey of 100 students at Hill Middle School, 70 said they like vanilla yogurt, and 60 said they liked peach yogurt, and 50 said they liked both. How many of the students surveyed did not like either flavor?

Survey for professors %26amp; students: do you believe in capital punishment?
Yes!!

I think that capital punishment should be legal in all states. America was founded on the principles of God so all our laws should revolve around Him. AN EYE FOR AN EYE!!

All murderers should be killed right away not ten years later and all sex offenders should be castrated.

i am a student!!!
Reply:No. It is a heinous thing to do no matter what the offense and constitutes "cruel and unusual punishment" as described in the Constitution.

I am a sophomore in college.
Reply:That is a hard question.

In my country there is no caplital punishment. I do not believe that it would lessen the number of crimes, that sb wouldn't kill if he knew he can die after that. However we could feel that it is some kind of justice - you killed, you have to be killed... Because now those people are to spend the whole life in prison, but they have everything there and can feel quite comfortable! That is a bit riddiculous...

Generally, despite being catholic, I think I am not wholly against the C.P. But - I don;t think it to be the best solution...

Is there a website that recruits survey respondents?

I'm a graduate student in psychology. I'm trying to get people to participate in a survey for my thesis. Is there a website where I can post my survey and pay for them to recruit participants for my study? I am willing to pay up to $3 per survey--for up to 500 participants that complete the survey. A website like surveymonkey.com will not do because they only host the survey but do not recruit participants for you.

Is there a website that recruits survey respondents?
I researched, but wasn't able to come up with any sites that will recruit participants for you. Rather than relying on someone (or something) else, you may have to do it the hard way-- I had the same trouble with my undergraduate thesis.

Have you tried offering group survey sessions at your school? You can post a sign-up sheet requesting participants and pay them immediately following testing; that will eliminate difficulties with payment. I'd also suggest setting up your survey on a site like QuestionPro.com (I used it for my thesis and had great results), and then getting the word out. Advertise the link in psychology-related Facebook groups (this was one of the most effective ways I got participants), send out mass e-mails, ask your friends and family to forward the link to their friends, etc.

If you're really set on going through a commercial website, try posting to more specific online forums (maybe the Psychology section on StudentDoctor.net?)-- you might find someone who's encountered the same problem and found a site. It also can't hurt to check with your classmates and even your professors, to see if they have any leads.

For example, I'm conducting a research about the effects of the Internet to Students, and I have the questionnaires and all that. What am I? School Survey?

Question: In a survey of 100 students at Hill Middle School, 70 said they like vanilla yogurt, and 60 said they liked peach yogurt, and 50 said they liked both. How many of the students surveyed did not like either flavor?

I don't know how to start this problem.

School Survey?
Well, first draw 2 circles that are kind of overlaping each other like this picture: http://www.atlasbooks.com/marktplc/image...

the first area is "vanilla yogurt", and the other is "peach yogurt" and the one in the middle is the area where the students who liked "both"

First you have to put the number of students who liked both, since they also fall in the category of peach or vanilla. So, 50 like both and 70 students like only vanilla, so 70-50 is 20 and that is the number of students who only like vanilla, this number goes in the "vanilla yogurt" area. Then you do the same with the peach, 60-50 is 10, and that is the number you put in the "peach yogurt" area.

Now you know the numer of each group, so you take those numbers and sum them: 20+10+50=80.

And the excercise says "how many did not like either flavor", so you take 100 and subtract 80= 20!

try to do this on your own with different number, and remeber to first put the number that goes in the overlapping area.... ;) good luck
Reply:ehhh theres a 100 right?

so there are 50 that like both

subtarct 50 from peach and vanilla

u are left with

10 20

add 10 20 and 50 which is 80

subtract that from 100 and u get 20

How do you answer these types of questions?

For some reason questions like this do not make sence, can someone help me understand how to find these types of answers?

Jamie's class asked thirty kids about their pets. 8 students own a cat, 15 students own a dog, and 5 students own both a cat and a dog. How many of the students surveyed own no cats?

How do you answer these types of questions?
I think you get bogged down by all the words. I also think this is kind of a trick question, unless you didn't give us all the info.

8 students own a cat

15 students own a dog

5 students own both a cat and a dog.

Nobody said that if you fall into the "own a cat" that you can't own a dog too.

So 8 students own cats. The rest don't. That's 30 - 8 = 22.

With this reasoning, 3 students only own a cat, 5 students own both a cat and a dog, and 10 kids only own a dog. The 5 with both are the overlap. (So 30 - 18 = 12 kids have no cats or dogs, in case you were counting.)

Pictorially its:

C C C CD CD CD CD CD D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D

If all of these categories were truly separate, which is what most of the people answering assume, it would be a different story.

So if the three categories have NO overlap (that is, you own a cat, or you own a dog, or you own one of each, or you own neither), then you get the 17 that other people have given you for an answer.

8 have cats, 5 have both a cat and a dog, the rest don't have a cat. 30 - (8 + 5) = 30 - 13 = 17 with no cat.

But I still think my first answer is right.

8 students own a cat

-----------------------------

22 students remaining

15 students own a dog

-------------------------------

7 students remaining

5 students own both a cat and a dog

-----------------------------

2 students remaining

They own nor a cat neither a dog.

Those 15 who own only a dog don't own a cat.

Answers: 15 students own a dog (but not a cat) + 2 students own no pet = total 17 students who own no cat.
Reply:Eight students own a cat, and five students own a cat and a dog, for a total of 13 students who own cats. Therefore, 17 students (30-13) own no cats.
Reply:well, all you have to do is add up 15,8,and five and then watever is left is your answer. So it would be 2 kids that don't have a cat.
Reply:the answer is 17 people do not own cats

if she survayed 30 people and you add up the total of people

who do have pets then minus that from 30 you get 2 then you add the amount of people who only own dogs 15 students plus the 2 students who dont have any pets and it equals 17 people.

School survey; Do you think administration should have to approve a student newspaper before it's published?

I am doing a survey for school, and I was hoping you guys could help me out! the question is Do you think that a high school, student written newspaper should have to be approved by the school administration before it is published and distributed to students? A simple yes or no answer is fine! Thanks so much!

School survey; Do you think administration should have to approve a student newspaper before it's published?
yes..because i mean lord who knows what would be in it if it wasnt approved
Reply:simply yes......

Reply:Yes.

BTW, all newspapers go through an editorial process.
Reply:Yes
Reply:Yes and no...

I understand that it's a school newspaper and things need to be edited to a certain extent, but it limits the rights of free speech. In my experience, if a school wishes to approve a newspaper before it is printed and distributed, it will not allow stories or articles which can give the school a bad reputation.

All you need is a good administrator who understands the importance of the student's abilities to speak out against (or for) the school in particular issues, but also one who knows when and where to draw the line between appropriate and inappropriate.
Reply:yes
Reply:Absolutely! It may seem like a student centered activity and publication, but the fact is it is a SCHOOL newspaper and it controlled by the school to some extent. There has to be someone who will cut out things that really have no business being published.
Reply:yes, sorry, but you need to wait until college for your true freedom of speech.
Reply:yes.
Reply:In high school, yes.

In college, no. there is a big difference between being a minor and being an adult
Reply:No... I think an editor should be approved by the administration, and beyond that, it's up to the editor.
Reply:Yes. Although this enters into the Right to speech issue, one must remember that all rights have restrictions

You can't have one without the other, without creating chaos.

A recent survey by the American Accounting Association revealed 23?

A recent survey by the American Accounting Association revealed 23 percent of students

graduating with a major in accounting select public accounting. Suppose we select a sample

of 15 recent graduates.

a. What is the probability two select public accounting?

b. What is the probability five select public accounting?

c. How many graduates would you expect to select public accounting?

A recent survey by the American Accounting Association revealed 23?
question c is the easiest 23% of 15 = 3.45

questions a %26amp; b require someone good in probability but dont require the 23% as each students decision is independent of the survey.

question a i would guess is 40/560

question b i would guess is 170/560

HI i'm a student at Downey High School. Please answer my survey.?

Reply:Hey Chris!!!!

It's me. Vanessa! (the girl that sits next to you!)

just wanted to say hi.

so Hi.

Thanx again 4 lending me ur journals!!!
Reply:1. In a studio I'm looking for professional equipment, Pro Tools, an acoustic piano (hard to find), and an engineer with good ears that's easy to work with.

2. I would record at "Music Life" if it had everything listed above and was priced fairly.

3. I would expect there to be guitar amps, drum set, a rack with pre-amps, EQs, dynamics processors, and effects units. Possibly a 2" tape machine and an analog board for people who like it done the old fashioned way.

4. I have been to Jackpot! Studio (Portland, Oregon), Smart Studio (Madison, Wisconsin), and Madison Media Institute (Madison, Wisconsin)

5. The studios I have recorded at usually have everything I'm looking for. Although at Smart I was in their second floor studio and their baby grand piano is in the down stairs studio (more expensive to rent though) and MMI didn't have a piano but I go to school there and it was free so that was ok.

6. I'm interested in recording folk, pop/rock. I don't like music that is really heavy and/or complex.

7. Nah that's alright, but thanks.

8. I don't know. After going to school for music recording it made me realize that I really don't want to be an engineer unless I'm working on something I really enjoy.

9. That's alright. I found 2 great producers already.

10. Usually 10am-8pm seems standard but if you offered discounted rates on off hours like 10pm-6am I might go for that too.

A survey question for all junior high/high school students: How heavy is your backpack?

If you are related to a student, you may answer as well. And please state his (or their) grade, also.

P.S. Also state for how long you carry the backpack around and how much your back hurts (if at all) after carrying it.

A survey question for all junior high/high school students: How heavy is your backpack?
My bag was 22 pounds when I was around 14 years old. It was crazy to lug that much weight to school everyday. It hurt quite a lot in the beginning. Luckily, I didn't have to bear with it for long as my parents bought me an ergonomic bag- it reduces the pressure on the back (if i'm not mistaken) so I wouldn't have to hunch. It was a godsend.

You can go to this website for more info on ergonomic bags:

Reply:most of the days my backpack is heavy. most of my grades are above 89. I am a freshman.

I started a student paper when I was at school and they would not allow it out unless it was censored. I can partly see their point because teenagers often have poor judgement BUT freedom of speech is important too.
Reply:yes
Reply:Yes.
Reply:yes.
Reply:Yes, because they need to ensure that the subject matter in the paper will not be offensive to other students, which could create problems in the school, as well as with parents.

i would be annoyed as heck, if i thought there was a chance that my fifteen cents would say buy a tree directly i would be more for it but i dont believe this would ever happen would be abused for other purposes also fifteen cents is nothing for the rich but would hurt the poor. maybe try taxing on take home pay of customers they can give two years of tax returns to the first window and pay the tax at the second.

you are welcome

( if you did a survey about suvs i would have been more for taxing the heck out of them and there idle sucking fossil fuel engines)
