It wouldn't really matter if they had metal detectors or not! All the kid would have to do is shoot the guard and then walk right in while the detector goes crazy! It's not going to stop crime!

I have created a survey for unemployed college students and I am trying to get them to answer it. Are there market research firms out there in California or elsewhere where I can give my survey to them and pay them some money to connect with students to answer this survey for me?

This is my conclusion so far: In conclusion, my hypothesis that body language can, indeed, be a big help in determining whether or not a person is lying was proven correct. Despite the fact that no type of body language suggests ultimate proof of lying, I did background research on body language before experimenting, only to find that during my experiment, many of the surveyed students displayed at least one of these changes when they began to lie.
When a person lies, they’ll normally feel uncomfortable about it, and their displayed gestures will conflict with the words coming out of their mouths. Some people may give away their signs of lying without even realizing it. The body language of lying varies from the ever so tiny curling of the lip to excess and unnecessary laughing.

You can add how some do not look the other in the face,, pupils dilate, play with their fingers, etc. and how detectives use subtle body language like this in their proffession to see if a suspect is lying or not.

I'd say 15% of our school is wealthy, 15% is poor, and 70% is middle-class. Out of that, I'd say less than 10% is snobby.

Anyone have any interesting research topics? I need some help...?
I need some help finding a research topic for my HS senior English class. It needs to be "scholarly" research that is able to be examined for about a month and I must induce a change. It can be schoolwide, communitywide, or both. I can survey students and teachers, publicize, as well as go speak to the city leaders about it so its got to be an interesting, important topic.
Anyone have any interesting research topics? I need some help...?
I suggest determining what you're most interested in so that you'll be able to stick with it for a month. If it were me - by way of an example - and I were in my hometown I would look at a recycling program in the high school. I would be able to survey students to see what they thought of it and whether or not they would use it and discuss the feasibility of such an idea with school officials and the town (if necessary). You said it needed to be something that could induce change and such a program would be a workable idea.
For what it's worth I teach college level research writing (and they do their own projects over 11 weeks) and environmental science.
Reply:Select a sub-population of your high school and prepare a survey on that group. Let's just say you are chose the National Honor Society group. Prepare a survey on how many of these students plan to attend an in-state versus out-of-state college/university. How many of the NHS kids plan on the military or workforce instead? Since NHS requires community service hours, you can poll the students to find out what kinds of community service they did, and what they got out of their volunteering. You can include a questions on their survey about the number of AP courses they have taken. You can ask them the number of hours per week they spend studying/homework.

Animal shelters!! Try to make people more aware of these homeless animals. Cats and dogs usually only have 7 days or less to live after going to the animal shelter. Afterwards you could try to have an adoption day where people are encouraged to come to the shelter. You'd be saving lives.
